6.8: Reflection & Report Back
Once a Powerhouse® program has been delivered and evaluation has been completed, the next step is to bring the information together and reflect on what was learned. This includes looking beyond program outcomes to consider the broader implementation experience: how well the organization was prepared, how training translated into practice, what facilitators experienced during delivery, and what was learned from young caregivers.
Organizations will have opportunities to:
- review program participation, evaluation results and participant feedback;
- reflect on what worked well and what was challenging during delivery;
- consider whether training, resources and preparation supported implementation in practice;
- identify questions, gaps or areas where additional support may be helpful;
- complete the Powerhouse® Report Back Template following each required reporting period.
Powerhouse® Report Back Template
The Powerhouse® Report Back Template provides a consistent way for participating organizations to share required program information and learning with YCA. It brings together key quantitative and qualitative information from program delivery and evaluation, along with important learning from the implementation experience.
Reporting back helps YCA understand program reach and outcomes alongside the experience of implementing Powerhouse®. It also helps identify common successes, challenges and support needs across participating organizations. Reporting back is part of the learning process. The purpose is not only to share results, but to understand what happened in practice and use that learning to strengthen future Powerhouse® delivery.
