6.5: Training & Preparation

The evaluation and learning cycle begins before your first Powerhouse® program is delivered.

Infrastructure Training helps your organization understand the Powerhouse® model and establish the structures needed for delivery. Facilitator Training then helps those delivering the program understand their role and prepare to put Powerhouse® into practice.

During this stage, your organization will have opportunities to:

• provide feedback following Infrastructure Training; 
• review organizational readiness and identify any remaining questions or support needs; 
• connect with YCA as you prepare to begin delivery; and 
• ensure facilitators complete the required training and are prepared to deliver the selected Powerhouse® program. 

Information and feedback gathered during this stage help YCA understand how well training and resources are preparing organizations and facilitators, while also creating an opportunity to identify areas where additional guidance or support may be helpful before delivery begins.

The goal of this stage is readiness. Identifying questions or areas where additional support may be helpful is part of preparing for successful Powerhouse® delivery.
